The Alabama Infectious Disease Center (AIDC) is a private, physician-owned medical practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Serving North Alabama for over a decade, our board-certified physicians specialize in both Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine, with active clinical privileges at Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital, Crestwood Medical Center, and Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Ali Hassoun is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases, serving the Huntsville-Madison community for over 22 years. He completed his residency at New York Medical College and his fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Hassoun’s extensive background includes practicing with the Australasian College of Physicians in New Zealand and serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UAB School of Medicine (Huntsville campus). He is currently the Director of Infection Control for Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital, and Crestwood Medical Center. A dedicated researcher and author, Dr. Hassoun is a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Hafsa Siddiqui is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease with over 18 years of experience serving the Huntsville community. She specializes in the treatment of a wide range of infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS. Dr. Siddiqui earned her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed her internship and residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She furthered her expertise by completing a fellowship in Infectious Disease and Medical Microbiology at the University of Utah and its affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Zohra Chaudhry is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease who has proudly served the Huntsville community for nearly six years. She earned her medical degree from Lahore Medical and Dental College in Pakistan and completed her internship and postgraduate residency training at Henry Ford Hospital Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Zaid Al Khouri to our practice. Dr. Al Khouri earned his MBBS from Jordan University of Science and Technology and completed his internship at King Hussein Medical Center. He went on to finish his residency at Roger Williams Medical Center and his fellowship at LSU. He is specialized in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Syed Ahmed to our practice. A board-certified infectious disease specialist with over 22 years of experience across the United States, Dr. Ahmed will be serving patients at all hospitals in the surrounding area. He earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College, completed his internship and residency at Rush-Westlake Hospital, and finished his fellowship and training at Orlando Health.
All new patients please print out and complete the New Patient Packet of paperwork. Bring those forms along with your picutre ID, insurance cards and a list of medications you're currently taking.

For physicians offices referring a patient over to be seen, please fill out the Patient Referral Form below. Fax that to us along with any medical records pertaining to the reason you are referring the patient. We will have our physicians review records and then call patient to schedule the appointment.
